Summary: Youko's busy school and work life has put a strain between her and Sei, and it took for something unplanned, spontaneous and completely out of Youko's control to break that tension.
Excerpt:
Youko extended an arm and effectively caught Sei by the waist. "It's an awfully big tub," she whispered, her eyes cast to the ground in fear of looking at Sei's face. "Sei," she sighed in defeat, and gathered the nerve to look up at her lover, "join me?"
"Thanks, but no," Sei uttered, her voice, for a moment, cold, "I wouldn't want to keep you any longer than necessary. You have important things to do." She reached for the shirt that was on the sink, wore it, then said, "I'm going to bed; I have class early in the morning, then another after dark. Don't forget: Rei's and Sachiko's place tomorrow night; tell everyone I'm going to be a little late."

30 Kisses Theme #27: Overflow
Tension Break
by: P.D. Pirl [04/07-13/05]
Youko mumbled incoherent curses when the key slipped from her shaking fingers, but she immediately swallowed the rest of her verbal protests and bent down to pick up the fallen items. Using the wall for support, she dragged her body to stand, and, this time, succeeded in unlocking the door. As she turned the knob, she wanted nothing more than to crawl to bed and sleep the rest of the night - rather, early morning away; it was the only thing she had been looking forward to all day.
But as soon as she admitted such feelings, she felt ashamed and guilty when she was greeted by the sight of Sei, who had, obviously, fallen asleep while waiting for her to come home. Quietly, she closed the door, locked it, placed her bag on the floor, and approached the sleeping blonde. Sei was sprawled at the arm of the couch, and if she were to stay in such a position until morning, it was a certainty that she would wake up with a very sore body and a stiff neck. Youko would have none of either, so she gently pulled Sei by her shoulders and lay her lover's head on her lap.
It was, however, enough to wake Sei.
Youko smiled and toyed with Sei's hair. "I'm home," she whispered, and moved her hand to Sei's face as she kissed her. But Sei didn't return the kiss, which made her pull away and ask, "Is something wrong, Sei?"
Sei slowly sat up and stretched her arms. "I cooked dinner," she managed to say through a yawn, "it was your favorite, too." She laughed, her back still on Youko, and proceeded to knead the side of her neck. "But don't worry," she quickly assured, and finally turned to Youko, a bright smile on her face, "when you called me and said you'd be working another shift, I ate it all." She grinned then, and playfully stuck out her tongue at her confused lover. "It was delicious, and you didn't get to have any~!"
Youko was far from convinced, more so, because now she knew why Sei had been lurking for the past days. She barely took notice of it, and only paid heed to it when Sachiko asked her if she knew the reason Sei and Rei went off somewhere: Sei had asked for Rei's helped with cooking that dinner for her, and she just squandered Sei's week-long effort with one phone call.
She didn't know whether or not she was thankful that Sei wasn't being bitter about the whole ordeal, because it may very well be a pretense. Sei being mature was appreciated, but Sei not being honest to her wasn't. But she was far too tired to go through the grievous task of wrangling a truth from Sei, so she simply leaned forward and embraced her. She slipped a hand under the tank top Sei was wearing, and she frowned when she heard and felt from Sei's stomach what could only be hunger.
"Let's go to bed," Sei droned in her ear, those hands of hers already beneath her clothes.
Youko shivered, her body more than delighted with being touched by Sei, but still powerless against her mind. "Sei, I can't," she sighed, and damned Sei for having such an effect on her. "I still have a paper to write." But it seemed she wasn't heard, for she was pushed down on the cushion and was hurriedly stripped of her top. Her mind blanked then, and next she knew, she was looking down at Sei, who was now nuzzling her exposed midriff.
"So tense..." Sei purred, gray eyes drunk with unabashed desire, "you really should loosen up." As she said this, Sei hooked her fingers on the waist band of Youko's skirt, undid the hook and zipper, and slowly, she tugged at the loose material, her eyes greedily taking in every inch of pale skin revealed as she pulled. "Mmm, dessert," she growled, teeth clamped at the remaining cloth between her and Youko's nudity.
When she felt Sei's breath just under her naval, Youko darted a hand down and grasped a fistfull of blonde hair. "S-Sei, don't," she whispered, breathless and absolutely flushed. She hated how she wasn't discouraged at the reminder of Sei not eating, but she hated more the need to turn away from Sei for what seemed like a very petty reason, given her current situation. She wouldn't dare deny her lover and herself, but she simply couldn't thoroughly enjoy the experience, knowing that she might have done something that would put a strain between them; and not even making love, she knew, would remedy this.
Oh, but Sei was making it so, so very tempting.
She heard Sei laugh, then felt her pull away, and she almost yanked her back in place, had she not such control. "It's probably not even due tomorrow," Sei chuckled as she stood up and sauntered towards the bedroom.
Youko was genuinely stunned. "How did you...?" then, she trailed off as a thought came to her, "Have you been going through my things?" She was more surprised than offended, if she was at all, because she knew Sei was not one to go through her personal belongings without her permission; it just seemed the most logical answer as to how Sei knew. In truth, she did have a paper to do, but the urgency she coupled with mentioning it to Sei was far from true; at least, technically, it wasn't.
"No," Sei hummed, not taking pause in her steps, "I just know you." With that said, she disappeared into the bedroom they shared, and left Youko to ponder on more than her frightening perceptiveness.
Youko sighed deeply, the absence of Sei giving way to her exhaustion. She felt anxious now, as she wasn't certain if she was still welcome to join her lover in bed, even though it may never be put in words. She slipped on her blouse, didn't bother to button up, and walked into the kitchen, the rest of her clothes left on the couch. There she saw a very clean dining and kitchen area, no evidence of any activity held there, not even Sei eating dinner. The refrigerator was lacking in raw ingredients, and that was proof enough to her that Sei had, indeed, cooked for the first time since they moved in; but the leftovers and take-out meals, which Sei gorged on when she wasn't around to cook, were untouched.
When she found what she was looking for, she wished she didn't: there in the trash, inside disposable containers, was the dinner Sei had slaved over to perfect all week. Briefly, she wondered why Sei didn't tell her when she called earlier that evening, but she realized that if Sei done just that, she would have been troubled over abandoning the responsibility she voluntarily accepted. Sei must be upset with her - Sei should be upset, but still, she smiled and joked of it as though it meant nothing to her, when it truly did.
But it wouldn't be practical for Sei to be let down, since she didn't mention it to her; yet that was the purpose of a surprise, wasn't it?
She found her lover already wrapped in the covers, but she was still awake, and, apparently, waiting for her. When Sei pulled back the covers and patted the empty spot beside her, Youko had but two words she could say: "I'm sorry." Once she was close enough, Sei pulled her into her arms and placed a finger on her lips.
As she finished her assignment with Sei sleeping beside her, Youko vowed to her lover that she would not be neglected again.
That silent promise was broken the next day, when she was told that the co-worker she had filled in for the night before would be absent for a few more days due to a flu. That meant she would have money to set aside, apart from her share of the rent, groceries and other customary whatnot. She would have income to spend on leisure, perhaps for an apologetic dinner to Sei. She agreed to the extended job quickly, even if she would get even less sleep and time for her school work; it was then she remembered that also meant she may not have any time at all for Sei.
Sei had been quietly forgiving and patient with her strenuous schedule, even after Youko had chosen work or school over her in more than two occasions. Sei had college and her own part-time job to deal with, but she didn't seem to have any trouble making herself available for Youko. Youko learned, then, that Sei would ignore almost everything for her, where as she did the exact opposite. Youko simply couldn't juggle Sei along with her everyday tasks and duties, because she couldn't go about managing her time when she wished to spend all her time with Sei.
By Friday night, there was no more Sei waiting for her on the couch, and she mused it may have been because of what happened the night before. She was completely spent and in dire need of rest, that she walked past Sei and dropped on the bed without a word. She woke to an empty bed the next morning, greeted only by her alarm, for Sei had remained where she had been: on the couch.
Sei didn't need to give voice to her frustration, because the message was getting across Youko quite clearly through her actions, no matter how subtle, and how much she curbed her feelings. She desperately wanted to talk to Sei, but it was Sei who was avoiding confrontation, perhaps because she knew that she would just lash out at her and she wished to save them both the bother such an encounter would yield.
Sei's sacrificing was oddly reminiscent of her during the days Sei was still absorbed in Shiori; she put Sei's happiness ahead of her own, regardless of the pain she had to withstand. She never imagined that their roles would be reversed: that it would be Sei who was the pillar in their relationship, the one who was sacrificing for the relationship; and it was her who was wearily dabbling nervously, absolutely insecure and utterly terrified of the consequences, in the process being selfish.
But being as cautious as she was, their relationship was in danger of collapsing under the stress, perhaps even before she would under the pressure of school and work. She made it a must to sit Sei down and talk to her tomorrow, as she surprisingly had nothing to do. At the moment, her goal was not to aggravate her lover further, and put her before everything else.
After searching every room and area of the apartment, save for the bedroom, Youko was relieved that Sei still wanted to share the bed with her. But when she found their room empty, she began to feel panic building inside her. "Sei?" she called, her voice cracked with worry. "Sei? Where are you?"
"In here."
She traced the voice to the bathroom, and as she opened to door, she couldn't quiet neither her mind nor body from what was invoked by the thought of Sei inside the bathroom. Nothing sensual, much less, sexual, has happened between them the entire week; the most intimate contact was the kiss that was never returned, and frankly, lying on the same bed with a naked Sei did not help any in easing her sexual frustration. But it was waking up alone and finding Sei on the couch was what made her realize just how much she missed her lover, not just emotionally, but physically as well.
Youko wasn't disappointed when she was met with a barely clothed Sei sitting by the edge of an already filled tub. She would have jumped her lover then, but the sight of the inviting bathtub made her feel even weaker.
"I readied the bath for you," Sei stated in a tone that was a little too light and casual, and she offered a laugh that was more bitter than anything else, "if you miss this, too, then I don't know what I can do."
Slowly, Youko's arm fell to her side and allowed Sei to pass, her head still bowed. "Good night, Sei," she choked, and tried in vain to bite back a sob; the edge and spite in Sei's words still fresh in her mind. Sei brushed past her without another word, nor a glance, and she turned in time to see her lover slip under the covers, still clothed, and turned away from her.
That night, no hot water nor warm blankets couldn't ease the cold she felt.
"Onee-sama, are you absolutely certain that nothing is troubling you?"
Youko tilted her head away from the sky and shifted her gaze to Sachiko. It delighted her that the girl never ceased to address her so, even though both have them have left Lillian, but tonight, it just wasn't the comfort and assurance she needed, and she didn't wish to burden Sachiko with things that didn't need to concern her. Eriko, she could confide in, but her friend has yet to arrive, because she still had to fetch Yamanobe from the zoo, as the teacher didn't have a means of transportation.
But what she really wanted was to talk to Sei, only the last she saw of her lover was her back turned on her in bed. She not only woke up to an empty bed, she woke up in an empty apartment. The rest of the morning and afternoon waned by so sickeningly slow that she arrived a good three hours earlier than the arranged time. Sachiko and Rei, though baffled, welcomed her inside; they had to attend to arranging the place for the gathering, so she excused herself and went to the terrace. Her former soeur would occasionally join her and ask in different variations the same question: "What's wrong, Onee-sama?"
Now, however, Sachiko had another reason for interrupting her brooding; Yoshino, Yumi, Yuuki and Touko had arrived, and Shimako and Noriko were not far behind. "I'm fine, Sachiko, really," she murmured, and forced a smile, with it, she hoped, she would be able to feign such a front for the rest of the night, "I'm just a little stressed."
Sachiko nodded, but didn't appear to be done with her questioning. "Onee-sama, may I ask why you didn't come with Sei-sama?"
"She has a late class today," Youko replied curtly, "but she will come, I assure you."
"I see," Sachiko chimed, and though she looked like she still had, at least, one more question to ask, she stepped aside and gestured for Youko to enter. "Then, we will postpone eating until Sei-sama is here; let's all gather in the living room and have a round of choice beverages." But by the time they reached the living area, Yoshino and Rei were already serving drinks to everyone, who all diverted their attention to them once they walked in.
"Youko-sama," Yumi started, the first in the crowd to talk, "where is Sei-sama?"
"She'll be here shortly, Yumi," Sachiko answered in place of Youko, "as will Eriko-sama and Yamanobe-sensei." With that statement, Sachiko gestured for Youko to find a seat, and everyone went about their business. "Yoshino-san, allow me," she said as she held out her hands to take the tray from Yoshino, "you should be enjoying yourself like the other guests; Rei and I are the hosts for this gathering."
"It's no problem, Sachiko-sama," Yoshino said, and smiled back at the gracious young woman in front of her, "but if you insist, I'll just serve Youko-sama her drinks, then, you can take over."
Sachiko dropped her hands and nodded. "That would be fine, Yoshino-san."
Yoshino grinned and happily walked up to the pensive, yet smiling Youko. "Ahh," she uttered all of a sudden, "I also have Sei-sama's drink here; I didn't know she was going to be late. Should I leave it here, Youko-sama, or...?"
"Don't trouble yourself, Yoshino-san," Youko assured, "leave the drink here." She watched as Yoshino gently settled the two glasses on the table in front of her, and as though after a moment of consideration, she asked, "Is this Sei's usual?"
Yoshino beamed, "Yes, Youko-sama."
Sei and Yoshino share the same taste in alcoholic beverage, as well as the same strong constitution required to stomach such strong liquor. Youko never went beyond light wine, as she was perfectly aware that her body can't hold strong alcohol, if any at all. Sei once coaxed her to take a sip, and though she found the taste quite enticing, she refused to further indulge herself in fear of losing control, even when she had never seen Sei drunk; at least, not during gatherings held outside their apartment, and not around everyone else.
"If Sei isn't here in fifteen minutes, I'll have her glass," Youko offered with a pleasant smile, "you can give her a fresh one when she comes."
Sei had been pretending to pay attention in class when she felt her phone ring. She made a snide mental remark about Youko calling and canceling again, but she quickly muted the impulse and excused herself from class. Once in the hall, she took her phone from the pocket and finally answered the incessant, now irritating, ringing.
But nothing could have prepared her for what she heard next:
"Ooohhh, babbbbyyyy~!"
Sei gawked, "Y-Youko? Is that you?"
She heard a giggle from the other line, and confirmed that it was, indeed, Youko. "Where's my Sei-chan hiding? If you tell me, I'll give you a cookie!" Youko purred, and gave another sultry giggle.
Sei abruptly shut her mouth and shook her head free of the haze brought about by Youko's giggling. "You've been drinking," she stated, her voice shaky, "do the others know?"
"I'm going to fly to my Sei-chan~!"
Sei twitched, for she realized that Youko was on the terrace, then snapped, "NO!" She growled, and already, she bolted through the halls and headed for her car.
"But-but, I'm a pretty little bird!"
Sei groaned, exasperated. "Listen to me, Youko, is Sachiko there? I need to talk to her right now." She berated herself for humoring Youko even after her most unusual greeting, and now decided to talk to someone who was sober. "If she's not there, I'll talk to Yumi, or Shimako; I don't care who you give the phone to, just give it to someone else."
Youko wailed, "Sei-chan hates me!"
Before Sei could retort, she heard a voice that she recognized as Sachiko. "Sachiko!" she yelled, and waited for the younger girl to pry the phone from her hysterical lover. "Get her inside the house and don't let her out there again," she barked, unable to get reign on her anger, "I'm on my way."
Sachiko pocketed Youko's phone, just in case Sei would call, and to keep it away from Youko, who would most likely throw it across the street in a mad fit. "Honestly, Onee-sama, one would think you know when to stop drinking," she said as she began to lead Youko back inside, and blatantly ignored whatever she said; which included Sachiko being a vile wench who was trying to take Sei and Sachiko being a kleptomaniac with an insane attraction to cell phones.
Sachiko took Youko to the guest room, where she asked Rei to watch her while she asked Yoshino a few questions. She found out from Yoshino that Youko, after finishing her own drink, took Sei's as well, but that was all that she was given, because Yoshino had given her serving duties to Touko and Yumi. It was Touko who had been asked for another helping, and the girl, not as familiar as Yoshino with everyone's preference with drinks, accommodated Youko without a second thought.
Nobody noticed any change in Youko's demeanor, and she sounded very much sober when she excused herself. Sachiko found her bending over by the edge: cooing and giggling Sei's name. Whatever it was that had gotten between them, Sachiko thought, it must have been so severe, for it to drive Youko to drink as recklessly as she had. She was just thankful that her Onee-sama had done so among friends, where she could be taken care of.
Sachiko informed everyone of Youko's condition and that Sei was on her way. On Eriko's suggestion, Youko was escorted back in the living room and was seated beside Rei. Youko had been quiet for the most part, and it appeared that she was slowly fighting off the effects of the alcohol. But one glance at Rei was all it took to crumble her already weak resolve, for Rei, to her very blurry vision, looked very much like Sei when she cut her hair short right after graduating high school.
"Yay! I found my baby!" Youko exclaimed proudly as she threw her arms around Rei's neck and pulled her in a crushing embrace. As the younger blonde struggled, she leaned in until her face was only inches apart from Rei's, and frowned. "Your hair is short again. I never liked it short." She, then, reached out and touched Rei's hair. "Did you cut it because you're mad at me?"
Rei reddened and attempted to ease away from Youko's deadly grip. "S-Sachiko...!" she yipped, and frantically searched the room for Sachiko.
"I thought you loved it when I twirled your hair around my fingers and tugged..." Youko murmured, her eyes now glazed over with euphoria. Her legs slipped down along Rei's and began to rub sensually. "Or did you cut your hair so I could easily do this," she paused, then abruptly bit Rei's ear.
Rei yelped in pain and reflexively jerked away from the drunk Youko, her face still bright red. "Ahh, Y-Youko-sama, I'm not...!" she squeaked, and shrank under the feral, predatory gaze.
Everyone, Sachiko included, was in too much shock to help Rei; they simply couldn't believe that Mizuno Youko was behaving in such a way. Even Yuuki and Yamanobe, who know nothing of Youko as a Lillian student, were just as astounded by her actions, given her proper, proud poise.
There was a sudden bang on the door, and even that was barely enough to tear attention away from Youko, who had started to chant random rhymes and songs; but the banging grew louder, and was now couple with a most disgruntled voice that belonged only to Sei.
"The wheels of the bus go round and round, round and round!" Youko sang badly, Rei still helplessly trapped under her, as she bounced along with her singing.
Sei's expression was a vivid mix of confusion, frustration, and jealousy, but none was evident in her voice as she spoke, "I see you're having fun."
Youko, upon hearing her lover's voice, stopped singing and darted her eyes from Sei to Rei, as though she was trying to identify which of the two was the real Sei. Then, she saw Sei's hair, which fell just above her shoulders, and immediately tackled her blonde lover in glee. "Sei-chan~! I thought she was you! She tricked me!" She giggled at the coughing and hacking sounds of surprise that rang from Sei's throat. "Don't be jealous, lover," she chirped, "you're the only one I have fun with."
Sei couldn't stop herself from blushing at what that statement implied, more so, with everyone else around to hear Youko say that. "H-hey! Don't do that!" she gasped, but she was a little too late for Youko was quick to unbutton her shirt. "What are you doing!?" she yelled, yet Youko ignored her and parted her shirt further.
"I'm making sure you really are my Sei," Youko chimed as she reached for Sei's pants and said, "there should be a healing bite mark right about..." She tugged at Sei's jeans a little and revealed such a mark near Sei's hip, "here." Then, she broke into a wide grin and pressed her upper body to Sei's, successfully covering her lover's partial nudity from the rest of the people in the room. "Mmm, that's my Sei," she purred as she hitched the jeans back up and settled her elbows on either side of Sei's head.
Sei pushed herself to sit, with Youko cradled in her arms, and visibly winced at the pain on her lower back, where she landed when Youko pounced on her. "You are too drunk," she grunted, and tried her utmost not to growl at her lover, "we're going home right now." However, she didn't look that much intimidating, with her face flushed and her voice shaky from their closeness.
But Youko suddenly dropped all of her weight on Sei and pushed them both back on the floor. She cushioned Sei's head with her arms and lovingly nuzzled the still irate blonde. "You don't kiss me anymore," she whispered, her eyes on Sei's, "do you hate me that much?" Her intoxicated state did not allow her to be concerned of what all the other people in the room thought of her, nor was she capable of putting a reign on her emotions.
It was a simple enough question, to which Sei chose to give a simple enough answer: a kiss; and though it was a soft, sweet kiss, Youko withered and surrendered under the gentle power of that kiss, and, with a shuddered sigh, she let go of herself and completely melted in Sei's arms. Slowly, Sei sat up again, and took with her a lax, satisfied Youko who was now affectionately cuddling her.
"WHEE, HORSEY!!!"
The door busted open and slammed violently against the wall; then, in stumbled Sei with a very lively Youko on her back. She thanked fortune that their apartment was on the ground floor, else she seriously doubted she would still be conscious. She couldn't even fathom where Youko had gotten so much excess energy, and she could only hope that she would tire out sooner than later, lest she would.
"Okay, okay!" she barked, splayed on the floor in an exhausted mess, "Ride's over! Get off!"
But instead of obeying the demand, Youko leaned down and bit Sei's shoulder. "Make me," she murmured, pushed Sei's hair back and nibbled on just the right spot on Sei's ear.
Sei's eyes involuntarily rolled back, and she shuddered violently as she was reduced to putty by Youko's mouth. Remembering that she was the more logical between them at the moment, Sei wriggled away from Youko and locked the door just before she was yanked back to the floor by Youko. Where the keys flew to, however, was outside of her responsibility.
"Carry me!" Youko yipped, her arms raised towards Sei as would a toddler to a parent. Even after a chaotic car ride which consisted of Youko slipping into either a childish state or a sultry one, Sei still couldn't determine when she would switch from one to the other; and that had lead to Youko inadvertently arousing her and leaving her very much unfulfilled. It didn't help her any that Youko knew the very areas on her body that would yield an immediate reaction; sometimes, she wondered if Youko had her body charted.
With a defeated sigh, she gave in, "All right, I'll carry you." Once her arms were secure under Youko's knees and shoulders, Sei slowly rose to her feet and began to stagger towards their bedroom. By the time they reached the bed, however, Sei had stumbled forward and tripped, due to Youko's constant toying with hair and whatever it was that was in reach of her hands and mouth. She managed to drop Youko on the bed, but she came up short, and only her upper half made it on the soft cushion. Spent, she twisted about, sagged against the side of the bed and dropped the back of her head on the cushion.
"Ooh, bouncy!" Youko cooed, as she proceeded to bounce on the bed and sing yet another song: "I've got a love-ly bunch of coconuts!" She gave a little tug at her top, and with a wicked grin, pulled the blouse off in one, quick motion of her hands. "There they are standing in a row - big ones, small ones," she paused to grab Sei's face with one hand, "some as big as your head!" Her free hand, then, slipped done and undid her bra, so she was now naked from waist up, bare for Sei to see.
Sei blinked once to focus, then her eyes widened and her jaw dropped at what she saw. In her shock, she blurted, "Coconuts..."
Youko burst in a giggle fit and kissed the tip of Sei's nose. "Hmm, you're all sweaty," she noted out loud, and slowly clawed the hair away from Sei's neck, where she then rested her chin, "let's get you out of these." She purred as she slid her hands along Sei's chest, and all the way down to her thighs. Her fingers then made quick work of the buttons of Sei's shirt, and once that was done, she did the same to Sei's pants.
Even through the drunken cloud in her mind, she remembered how much she missed the sound of cute little sounds Sei made whenever she was being teased; the feel of Sei's heated body pressed against her; and the pride and gratification that came with having such an effect on Sei that her lover's breathing was already hard and labored with her having to do so little.
"Don't you start again," Sei groaned, not in pleasure, but in frustration. She attempted to pry Youko's hands from her body, but her lover, who was currently the stronger between them, immediately tightened her grip the instant she tried to break it. "Let go," she snarled, her back arched in a fierce, but hapless attempt to escape.
"You're still mad at me," Youko spoke with a low, dry voice low, which was followed by a heavy sigh. "You didn't want to kiss me..." she trailed off, her arms now rigid against Sei. Suddenly, she found herself wishing to be struck by another wave of mad, drunken stupor, just so she could drown the sickening, wrenching feeling that was now eating at her from inside.
"No," Sei said in a breath, and grasped Youko's hand with her own, "I'm not mad at you." As Youko's embrace softened, she let out a relieved sigh and turned to face her lover. "And no, it's not that I didn't want to kiss you," she whispered, her eyes captivated by Youko's lips, "I didn't want to just kiss you."
Youko couldn't stop the smile that was already on her lips as she asked, "Why didn't you?"
"B-because!" Sei retorted, her cheeks red from embarrassment, and she blushed allt he more when she felt Youko's free hand drift below her waist.
Youko yanked down the denims and began to teasingly stroke Sei's thighs, for she knew it was enough to squeeze an answer from her wanton lover. "Because...?" she echoed into Sei's ear before she nibbled at that same area again, and with it, further coaxed Sei.
"Because," Sei repeated, her words barely audible through breathless gasps and very light moans, "if I had gone further," she rasped out, and shuddered violently, "I would have ravished you right on Sachiko's and Rei's carpet."
"So deprived..." Youko whispered, unable to search her foggy mind of articulate words, "why didn't you tell me?"
"Did you have the time?" Sei mumbled, and had she remarked bitterly about being neglected, there was not a hint of it in her voice. "It's not your fault," she droned lazily, completely limp in Youko's arms, "I was upset, and I still am - a little bit; I don't have your control and your patience, so I need a little time to feel better. You shouldn't feel responsible for something neither of us can help."
"Sei," Youko murmured, for once, since drinking, her mind was clear, "I'm more concerned that you didn't tell me."
Sei's lips curved down to a deep frown, "I thought I didn't have to tell you; I thought you knew."
"I did..." Youko's voice faltered, ridden by guilt and remorse, "but I didn't want to upset you more. I figured I'd wait until you were ready to talk to me."
A light, soft laugh broke from Sei's throat. "We're so silly," she cooed, and playfully rubbed her nose against Youko's, delighted that her lover flushed even more. "Tomorrow, you're taking the day off whether you like it or not," she pointed out, amused, "because I doubt you'd be able to get out of bed with your first hangover."
As though she had taken cue from Sei's statement, Youko felt herself losing grasp of clarity once again, which was obvious through the wide, lopsided grin that spread on her face. "Are you going to take care of me, then?" Slowly, she wound her arms just under Sei's breasts and cuddled her lover as she waited for an answer.
"But, of course."
Youko purred and licked along Sei's exposed collar bone, "Cook my favorite...?"
Sei groaned, "Mmm-mmm."
Youko smiled and kissed Sei's brow. "Could we be like this," she paused involuntarily, for a moment engrossed at the sight of her lover looking back at her with those intense gray eyes, "even when I'm not drunk?"
Sei kissed her again, not a short kiss that lingered on her lips and left her to clamor for more; it was a kiss that dripped with every ounce of pent up passion and sent her blood curdling with desire. Weakly, she held onto the thinning threads of control, but her instinct was replaced by another and soon, she found herself returning that kiss with equal, if not more, fervor.
Youko was dizzy from the alcohol, and mad with want; she honestly dreaded to wake up the coming morning with an ineviable and most unpleasant hangover, but Youko never felt better.
"Now, about that bath..."
And she was going to feel so much better.
